The White Water Institute helps people learn and work together to address personal and professional challenges, improving the world in which we live.
We use a river experience to apply lessons from a complex natural system to improve human systems. Using the fundamental principles of natural systems gives us a tangible way of guiding and navigating change.
How is this program unique?
The White Water Institute learning experience is like no other personal or professional development opportunity. It will:
- Engage you intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually;
- Challenge you to take new risks with the support of others;
- Reconnect you with life as experienced on a wild, natural river; and
- Use the fundamental principles of natural systems as a way to navigate change.
Our signature events are designed for community, business, social service, and non-profit sectors and for educational leaders. Each institute is two- to four-days long and is held in Maupin, Oregon – on, in and by the Deschutes River.
